JANET RODGERS

Janet is the Rodnick.farm paper wrangler, social media maven and devil’s advocate.  Crucial roles in the success of this little bit of heaven. A California import originally from the Northwest, Janet fell in love with the Central Coast and moved with Kurt to Monterey in 1988.  She dubbed their property “Rodnick.farm” in 2016 when she saw the property’s vineyards, fruit trees and Richard Graff’s original kitchen garden.  Janet also created the drawings for this website.

It's all about living an inspired life focused on continual improvement while preserving a legacy for the next generation.  We are stewards of this beautiful property founded by Richard Graff and improved by Bob and Sue Antle.

KURT GOLLNICK

Kurt is a Cal Poly SLO grad that started his professional career at French Camp and Bien Nacido Vineyards becoming GM in the mid 1980’s. In those formative years he took the opportunity to drive innovation at BNV; developing farming strategies for Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and other cool climate varieties. Kurt and Janet moved to Monterey County in 1988, where Kurt joined Scheid Vineyards.  He has farmed throughout Monterey and San Benito Counties enjoying the challenges of countless micro climates. He appreciates that every AVA and vineyard has nuances that require very careful study, patience and experience to develop fruit that best expresses terroir.  In 2022, Kurt "came home" and has dedicated his talents solely to Rodnick.farm.

In 2012, Kurt was awarded the Ben Heller Award for Leadership and Courage by the Center for Community Advocacy to honor his work in improving the quality of life for farmworkers.
